I seriously love this dress. And I also seriously love Zara sales. So this dress + a sale = definite purchase!
I know I’ve mentioned it before but dressing for the summer heat is no fun so I’m all about finding lightweight dresses to wear on days when you feel like you’re walking in an oven…which was this entire week! (I’ve posted some of my favorite summer dresses here, here, and here.)
First of all, TGIF, like NO JOKE! 🙂 Secondly, I’m sorry but this isn’t the first or last you’ll be seeing of this skirt.Well, I’m not too sorry because I love it and there are so many ways to wear it (I’m wearing it here too)! Also, my sweater has a super cute elbow patch detail but you can’t really see it in the picture; but I’m telling you it’s so cute! 🙂
And I don’t think I’ve introduced you guys to the sunshine and joy of my life, my sister. She is such a blessing and I feel so thankful that I have her in my life. Seriously, I don’t know how I got so lucky!
I’m still undecided on my feelings about this shirtdress. On one hand, it’s fun and lightweight for summer but on the other hand, I’m not sure I’m loving this print. It definitely feels bold to me so I kept the accessories minimal and wore my favorite J.Crew sandals. I’m loving a good metallic shoe lately and these are my new favorite!
I am loving these FemmeNatural colors from Ulta. I feel it is a perfect product for a giveaway. I know you will love it as much as I do. Enjoy the Femme Naturale Natural Eye Palette:

So as Chani came over to do an outfit shoot with me, I had just opened a skirt I had ordered online. She was like, “Oh my gd, that’s gorgeous! It’s definitely a keeper!” And at the same time I said, “Oh my gd, that’s hideous, looks like I’d be channeling grandma in that; and not in a good way!” That’s the thing with prints though; they’re so subjective to a person’s taste. You all know I have zero issue rocking bold colors and prints, but they have to be prints I like and feel pretty in, ya know? (This is one of my favorite floral prints ever. And this is a subtle floral that people afraid of prints might want to try.)
On another note, I am so sad about this top I’m wearing. I bought it the Zara sale and thought I’d keep it but ultimately felt like it was still not such a great deal so I went back to return it. Just as I returned it, I had seen these photos Chani sent me and loved the top even more so I asked them if the price had gone down since then and it DID! So I asked if I could buy it back and they wouldn’t let me. They said I needed to find one out on the racks. Ummm, there were none. And it was just sitting there. Why did it matter if I bought it vs. someone else? Yeah, lame. End of rant. 🙂
If only I could be back here…. Working in a windowless office in the summer gets to me sometimes! I’m thankful that I love my job but who wouldn’t wish for a little more beach time? 🙂 Anyway, I love this dress because it is SO lightweight and breezy; perfect for hot and sticky summer days! The print is fun, the touch of neon makes it even better, and I love that the material is so thin but not sheer. I can’t get enough of these kind of dresses for summer and I have a couple more to show you in the next few weeks!
