I’m seriously obsessed with this Anthropologie Dress! My favorite aspect of the dress is the gorgeous, fluttery 3D flowers. It has a relaxed fit but can easily be belted to create more definition at the waist. It also can be dressed up or down depending on the styling so it’s really versatile as well.

It’s always nerve-wracking for me to shoot with a new photographer. I know it doesn’t seem like it, but I’m insecure in front of the camera and worried I’m going to end up looking completely awkward and hideous. I’ve loved Brittany Taylor’s photos for a while now and finally decided to do a shoot with her. This was the EASIEST shoot I’ve ever done. Each outfit took like 5 seconds to shoot (only a slight exaggeration) and I was like, are you sureeee you have good photos? And oh my g-d, she did! I’m showing my favorite look first; hope you like it as much as I do!
This is seriously my favorite floral print ever. I wore it here with a pale yellow cardi and nude wedges and here I paired it with denim and matchy matchy Madewell flats for a more casual look! Which do you like better?
Before you ask me how I did these, let me tell you: I didn’t. I always envied the girls on instagram and pinterest who do insane nail art on their nails and make it look so easy! Then they post these amazing tutorials and you think that maybe, just maybe, you can actually attempt it. So you try it out. And you look at your nails which don’t even slightly resemble the tutorial; they actually look like someone vomited nail polish on your nails. You resign yourself to the fact that nail art (or even simply polishing your nails) is not one of your strong points. So what do you do next?
You hope that you live in Brooklyn or somewhere where manicures are pretty affordable, find someone at a nail salon who’s willing to do some nail art for you, and show them pictures of the nails you want! Check out this post if you want to see my past polka dot nail art.
Striped nails up first!
Next up, anchors (and waves? or chevron if you prefer).
Lastly, here are swirled watercolor nails.
Below are some of the polishes used in these manicures as well as a few favorites of mine! What are your favorite nail polishes and colors? Please share!
