I’ve been wearing this plaid shirt dress a lot lately. It’s comfortable and casual and I live in it on the weekends especially!
Anyone doing anything fun over the summer? I haven’t done anything much because I work but I’m hoping to at least make it to the beach once and hopefully a water park one day this week! That way I can actually pretend I’m having a vacation. Ha! Tell me what you’re up to!
Can we talk about how comfortable this pink maxi dress is? And the fact that it’s only $40?? Yeah, Leah and Pearl is always killing it with their affordable collection of fashion-forward and modest clothes! I’ll be sharing the second piece I got got from them next week (or you can get a sneak-peek on my instagram here). Other gorgeous pieces from their website that I’m currently crushing on are this fun color block skirt and the phantom scuba skirt.
I can’t help my love for funny graphic tops and this “I’m really a mermaid” sweater was an impulse buy I haven’t regretted! Wildfox sweaters are normally pricey but Saks Off Fifth currently has an amazing selection of Wildfox items at 60% off. I love how soft the sweater is, the bright blue color, and of course the witty words. In retrospect, I should’ve taken these photos at the beach with my hair up while walking barefoot in the sand. Oh well, next summer? I asked for blueberries with my froyo and this is what I got. Kind of sad, no? Next time I’ll ask for sprinkles so at least the picture will be pretty! 😉
It’s no secret that my go-to summer outfits are always lightweight summer dresses and this Elise Dress I’m wearing is just $38! I recently came across Liz and Honey on instagram (because where else, right?) and I’m so glad I discovered them so that I can share their website with you. Liz & Honey was started by three sisters who are all about fun fashion and the latest trends at budget-friendly prices. And when I say budget-friendly, I really mean it! They are always adding new pieces to their website and their stuff often sell out so I recommend visiting their site regularly. I cannot waitttttt to show you the second dress I got from them! Actually, you can see it on their website now (bryn dress) and on me later. Ha!
Kelly and I went back to Dumbo because I can’t get enough of this ombre wall (we did a photoshoot back in April/May here and here). I begged Kelly to go across the street for some distant shots so you could see how cool the wall is and she managed to get some great photos in between passing cars! I love you Kelly!
I love this sailboat print dress (last seen on the blog a year ago here) as it easily meets my criteria for the perfect summer dress; lightweight, has sleeves, and no layering required!
These blithe sandals are my favorite summer purchase; they are SO comfortable and the embellished jeweled detail is right up my alley. The designer is Louise et Cie; she is the wife of Vince Camuto and consistently makes beautiful shoes that end up on my wish list! Usually, I find flat sandals to be uncomfortable when walking in them for long periods of time but these feel cushy and have some padding and I seriously recommend these if you’re looking for a comfortable pair of flat sandals.
