The prettiest time of year in New York comes and goes so quickly so I was really excited to squeeze in a trip to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens in time to see the cherry blossoms. Of course they made it difficult for us as they’re annoyingly strict about taking photos there but we managed to get a few great shots in. You can see my shots from last year cherry blossom season here and the year before here.
I was saving this Eshakti floral dress (find it here) for cherry blossom season and I’m glad I did. I’ve customized dresses from Eshakti a few times before with positive results so I was excited to have the opportunity to do it again. I’m pretty sure you can’t find a cheaper place to customize a dress to your measurements and preferences (sleeve length, hem length, pockets, etc) and Eshakti gets bonus points for making clothes for women of all shapes and sizes.
You know I like to keep it real with you guys so to be completely honest, this Eshakti floral dress wasn’t my favorite dress I’ve ordered from them. The fabric seemed cheap and not as pretty as the print on the website so this wasn’t a home run for me. With that being said, I’d still order from them again because my other experiences have been positive but I’d look a little more closely at the materials before ordering. My all time favorite Eshakti watermelon dress can be seen here and a great purple dress I customized can be seen here.
